A project full of dreams...
Mexicoeur is the story of a project filled with dreams, ideas, and emotions that began a long time ago. I wanted to concretely express my pride in being Mexican and in having grown up in this country of love, friendship, and solidarity; in this land of traditions, rituals, and celebrations; of laughter and a love for hard work. This nation, rich in history and culture, overflowing with natural resources and biodiversity, with its extraordinary artisans and, of course, with the best gastronomy in the world. I dreamed of showing everyone my Mexico, through my eyes and from my perspective.
I have traveled across continents and experienced many adventures. One day I arrived in France and the Mexicoeur project became a reality. It was in Paris, right in the heart of the capital, that my dream came true. Several people joined us throughout the project, offering their help and support. Without them, Mexicoeur simply would not exist.
But for me, the true heroes of Mexicoeur are the artisans of Mexico. Each artisanal object is handmade.
The techniques and materials used to create them are very varied: cardboard, papier-mâché, clay, carved or painted wood, hand-embroidered fabrics or those made with a loom, etc. Each artisanal piece is unique; no two are exactly alike. Artisans dedicate many hours (sometimes days) to making them and are constantly forced to adapt to the availability of materials, which are not always easy to find.
Craftsmanship
So, what I'd like our clients to understand is that when they buy a handmade piece, they're taking with them a fragment of the life of the artisan who created it, a piece of their personal history, their community, their beliefs, and their family.
Through their creations and designs, artisans reflect a part of their own lives. Each piece is a reflection of their feelings, their dreams, their hopes, and their worries. Artisans are the guardians of our ancestral traditions, and their work isn't a "business," it's their livelihood.
Mexican cuisine
As for Mexican cuisine, it is important to note that it is inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
It is as rich and varied as Mexico itself. As a country with every climate, coastlines on two different oceans, and a great diversity of flora and fauna, our gastronomy borders on the limits of imagination.
Mexican cuisine forms a universe that offers true culinary and human experiences. In Mexico, cooking is an act of love, empathy, and sharing. Cooking becomes a wonderful ritual that allows us to bring happiness. If you have tasted authentic Mexican cuisine, you will certainly have noticed this.
